By Nurul Azliah Aripin | Yahoo Newsroom –

Singapore Airlines flight SQ866 was forced to make a turn-back mid-flight after pilots were alerted to cockpit warning relating to a cargo door on Friday.

The airline company said to Yahoo Singapore that the Hong Kong bound aircraft, an Airbus A380 superjumbo, had returned to Changi Airport over one hour after take-off. The plane returned at 2:20pm.

Passengers have been transferred to a replacement flight, which has already left at about 5pm. The plane's estimated arrival time in Hong Kong is 8:40pm, over three hours after the original scheduled arrival time.

No further details by the airline company were provided about the incident.
