A Singapore Airlines flight bound for Beijing was grounded on Monday afternoon at Changi Airport for two and a half hours after white powder was found onboard.
Flight SQ806 was scheduled to take off at 4:50pm, but according to tweets from two users who appear to be passengers on the plane, the discovery of a white substance triggered an investigation. Teams of ground staff were photographed in tweets as well. See them below:
Yahoo Singapore has contacted Singapore Airlines for more information. Local media reported that the flight left at 7:20pm after the powder was found to be harmless, and the 276 passengers and 16 crew members were transferred to another plane.
