Oscar-winning actor and comedian Robin Williams was found dead on Monday from an apparent suicide at his home in Northern California, Marin County Sheriff's Office said. He was 63.
The sheriff's coroner's division said it suspects the death was a suicide due to asphyxia, but the cause of death is still under investigation.

Singapore GDP Unexpectedly Expands as Outlook Improves: Economy

Singapore's economy unexpectedly expanded last quarter as manufacturing declined less than initially estimated amid recoveries in advanced countries.
Gross domestic product rose an annualized 0.1 percent in the three months through June from the previous quarter, when it climbed a revised 1.8 percent, the trade ministry said in a statement today. That compares with a July estimate of a 0.8 percent contraction and the median forecast in a Bloomberg News survey of 14 economists for a 0.3 percent drop.

The song, produced in collaboration with American hip hop artist and songwriter Wyclef Jean, adopted what Jean called a new "Asian-reggae" genre styled after his mega-hit single "Hips Don't Lie" for Shakira, said Ho's husband Kong Hee, testifying on the stand in court for the second day on Tuesday morning.

According to Channel News Asia, City Hall, Orchard and Raffles Place will be the first of 28 MRT stations to offer free Wireless@SG connection at the platform level. The rest of the 25 MRT stations will get the free Wireless@SG connection over the next 9 months.
